Hyde was born on January 29th 1969, in Wakayama, Japan. Hyde keeps his personal information secret, though he confirmed his birthdate in an interview, and his height is known to be 158 cm. His real name could be Hideto Takarai. In addition to being the lead singer and main lyricist of L'Arc~en~Ciel, Hyde has solo projects, he is the lead singer of a band named VAMPS, and he has his own record label under Sony Japan called Haunted Records. In 2000, Hyde married model Megumi Oishi; they have one son together, born in 2003.
